The Le Med Nasal Splint was created in the early 2000s by Dr. Le, who, while teaching Injectable Rhinoplasty, was frequently asked for effective methods to reduce swelling and bruising after nasal procedures. This led him to research and design a nasal splint, culminating in the Le Med Nasal Splint—a product made from biocompatible materials that helps accelerate healing.
Traditionally, broken noses received minimal treatment in emergency departments, with patients often told to wait for natural healing or consult a plastic surgeon months later if the nose healed crooked. This outdated approach leaves a gap in the effective management of nasal injuries, which the Le Med Nasal Splint addresses.
Beyond elective procedures, Dr. Le saw the potential for the splint to aid in recovery from accidental nasal fractures, providing a practical solution for both planned and unplanned injuries.
Much like the Band-Aid transformed minor injury care in 1920, the Le Med Nasal Splint is set to revolutionise nasal injury treatment. Designed for comfort, stability, and faster healing, the splint is lightweight, breathable, and adjustable—conforming to each patient’s unique face. Easy to apply and suitable for all ages, it has become an essential tool in nasal injury care.
